Friends from Cambodia and Vietnam

My personal assistant's son (part of my entourage) visited Vietnam and Cambodia in November 2010. He brought back lots of pictures of temples and places he visited but he also took pictures of some of the local dogs & wildlife for me.
The puppies are adorable. It's a shame he didn't take any of my business cards with him. He took some great pictures... perhaps I will let him do my next photoshoot.

The snow comes, the snow goes...

What fun - a day of snow yesterday! Well ok, it was actually just the morning.

The Raincoast Clown Troupe came over last night for their Christmas Party. I was relieved none of them were wearing their clown shoes - it's dangerous to mingle dodging those big shoes! Some of them are bigger than me. My P.A. was making coffee and visiting, Beezuzu was being a bozo and shamelessly asking for attention. So that left me to take over announcing everyone's comings and goings, as well as their movements in the house. Exhausting work. And those clowns are too neat - narey a morsel of food hit the floor. I find no humour in that.

Now that the party is over, the tree & lights will be dismantled tonight. So much for my little hiding spot under the tree. I really enjoyed the quilted tree skirt and no one could find all the stuff I stashed underneath the tree... Zuzu is too big to get under it. hehe.

I can hardly wait until all the decorations are put away (except that stuffy santa I chewed the beard & pompom off of - he can stay around a while longer) then there is room for my favorite, big, comfy cushion to come back out into the living room.

Pictures coming soon ~ Ruby

Clown noses or Rudolph the Reindeer noses?

Let it snow!

Wednesday we got all that white stuff, it's a little cold on the tummy when I run through the yard but so much fun! The rain washed it away during the day so my personal assistant didn't have to shovel a patch of grass for me.

Beezuzu usually has to wear a raincoat to go out in the rain, even if it is only for a minute or two, but when it snows, she is out like a flash. I don't understand her. She eats a lot of snow when snowballs are tossed at her. Weird.

The snow is all gone tonight. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

Beezuzu and a bunch of clowns

Here is the picture that Photographer John Biehler took at the Santa Parade. You can find more of  his photos of the 2010 Parade and other stuff at his flickr site  or his website:  http://johnbiehler.com/

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right... here I am stuck in the middle with you!

That is how Beezuzu spent her Christmas vacation... well one day anyways. On Sunday, Dec 5th she joined a bunch of clowns from the Raincoast Clown Troupe and paraded through Downtown Vancouver for the Rogers Santa Claus Parade. She chased bubbles the whole parade route, probably thinking they were bouncing balls. And they say I have a pea brain! Pfhhhh!

The upside was, her breath and fur smelled squeaky clean for days after! When my P.A. figures out how to link the photogaphers site to this blog we can post a picture of Beezuzu and her Clown.

P.S. Christmas pix Ruby doesn't want you to see ~ Beezuzu

P.S. Here is Ruby throwing a tantrum after an elf hat with ears was placed on her head.
I, on the other hand, behaved like an angel when I was the recipient of the scratchy beard and santa hat.

What I did on my Christmas Vacation...

Dec 14th, 2010, I attended a soiree at Barking Babies in Yaletown with my personal assistant. The rest of my entourage stayed home ... Beezuzu is too big for the venue and quite frankly she doesn't have the social skills to work the room like I can.

It was a costume affair with prizes for fancy party dress or tacky sweater. There were some interesting outfits but I don't do tacky sweaters, though Zuzu probably would have done well in that department. I also don't like hats, though my P.A.tells me they look good on me - I make short work of them.

So we pulled out my party dress and decided it was nice but needed a bit of a makeover. Here is the before pix of my outfit.

A tres chic outfit but check out the after pix...

The trim has irridescent spots on it and the crinoline & collar tulle has metallic stars on it. Bring on the Bling!!

So I mingled and schmoozed, noshed and shopped ... OMG I met a HOT dog (no pun intended) ... that delicious black and tan chihuahua... I'd roll over for him anytime... sigh. Oh, then I won a prize for best party dress! I had a choice of any of the artwork in the shop. Well obviously I got the dachshund painting by Pam Hudson which is hanging up on the living room wall where I can see it daily. I Love it!! Beezuzu only cared about the treat bag I brought home. I may have to get my P.A. to get a Boston Terror painting by Pam for the other wall.

Barking Babies staff hosted a great party with lots of yorkies and chihauhaus, my favorite dogs to hang with... after doxies of course.

I get my exercise jumping to conclusions...

Yesterday my P.A. took Zuzu to agility classes and left me at home!! So after a short pout, I went and put all of Zuzu's toys and bones into my crate and waited. Serves her right - they could have taken me along to observe. Hmph!

Today we went to my diva meet and greet, boy have I missed my favorite hangout! Tomorrow I may have to wear my bling collar for my adoring fans.

A new year and a new blog!

… all I want is all there is and more!

This has been a week or two of holiday excess ~ well, it could have been except my p.a.(personal assistant) thinks I need to cut back on everything yummy. Sigh, all those treats just calling my name. Grrr.
It will be nice to get back to my diva meet and greet next week (my p.a. calls it a doggy daycare http://www.smallpaws.ca/ ). Some days I like to play shy (being mobbed by my fans can be a little overwhelming) and sit above the rabble just observing. Other days I mingle with my fans, allowing them to hang out with me. The walks were great until my p.a. found out I was being carried during my foray outdoors... apparently 'a walk' means I have to walk on my own 4 legs. Grrr. Is that anyway to treat a diva?
Meeka (da ‘chi’) is the brains behind the operation, obviously, and Lexie, Meeka's sister, (another chihuaha btw) is her assistant. Meeka can hold her own but at 5 lbs soaking wet she definately needs a bouncer or two to keep those Boston Terrors in line.(I know what I am talking about, my sister Beezuzu is a BT).
Their entourage greet the guests, keep the peace and also take fabulous pictures of us all, then posts them on their website dogblog. I’m ready for my close up Mr. DeMille!
